Join one of Australia’s leading coastal scientists, Professor Bruce Thom, as he uncovers the secrets of Waverley’s coast. Offered only twice a year, this walk is not to be missed.
Bruce Thom AM is an Australian geoscientist and educator. He is a founding member of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists, Emeritus Professor at the University of Sydney in Australia and founding President of the Australian Coastal Society. Walk with Bruce to explore the geological wonders of Bondi’s coastline and learn interesting social and environmental insights along the way.
When: Thursday 19 September , 2.30 to 4.30pm
Where: Walk starts at Ben Buckler and finishes at the Bondi Icebergs. Please meet above the boat ramp at Sam Fizman Park, Ben Buckler.
CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
- Minimum age 7 years
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian
- Photographs, videos and voice recordings might be taken on the day for promotional and reporting purposes.
This activity may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or poor weather. Please check your phone and emails before heading to the meeting point.
