Experience authentic Argentine music with Trio Tangazo, featuring bandoneónist, performer, and recording artist Adrian Jost, bandoneonist Seth Asarnow, and Latin Grammy-nominated bassist Sascha Jacobsen.
Adrian Jost is a bandoneónist, performer, and recording artist. He has inspired discerning
tango audiences, performed in the milongas of Buenos Aires, and seen People en Español praise
his album El Rumor De Tus Tangos as “a fabulous trip through the history of tango.” He has
appeared as a soloist with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, toured with Argentine pianist Pablo Estigarribia, and
performed with singer María Volonté, tango pianist Pépé Motta, jazz bassist Marcus Shelby, and is currently
collaborating with Seth Asarnow. Influenced by Piazzolla and Salgán, Jost tours internationally, bringing
emotional authenticity to every performance.
Sascha Jacobsen, a 2022 Latin Grammy nominee, was born into a musical family, going as far back as
his great, great, great, great-grandfather, who was a bassist for the Moscow Opera. He completed a Master's degree
at the University of Southern California and has served on the faculty at the California Jazz Conservatory,
Humboldt State University, Laney College, Golden Gate Bass Camp, and the Sequoia Chamber Music Festival. Sascha
has performed with Kronos Quartet, Rita Moreno, Hugh Jackman, Martin Short, Mandy Patinkin & Patti LuPone, Marc
Shaiman, Bonnie Raitt, Randy Newman, Josh Groban, Kristin Chenoweth, Andrew Lippa, Eddie Duran, Dave MacNab, Tim
Weed, Tango masters Pablo Estigarribia, Raul Jaurena, Pepe Motta, and Maria Volonte, Flamenco greats Chuscales,
Jose Luis Rodriguez, and Juanito Pascual, and many others.
Seth Asarnow, a native of the Bay Area, has a repertory consisting of hundreds of tangos. He can be heard on recordings that range
in style from traditional tango to pop. Mr. Asarnow has both composed film scores and played on film soundtracks,
and he works regularly with some of the finest tango dancers in the world. Highlights of his performances include
Piazzolla’s Four Seasons with Donald Runnicles and members of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, as well as
concerts with Symphony Silicon Valley and the Santa Cruz and San Jose chamber orchestras. He recently appeared on
NBC's Dancing with the Stars, performing with the cast of the Broadway show Forever Tango.
