At CERES, we have the privilege of leading groups along the dusty Arnhem Highway to the small homeland community of Mäpuru. Our Yolngu friends and adopted family, with whom we’ve shared a 15-year partnership, welcome us onto their land and into their community.

These journeys support our friends in sustaining a meaningful livelihood on Country. In return, they teach us what it means to live in deep relationship with the land — how to weave pandanus baskets, how water carries the story of life through its fibres, and how to see the world through a renewed, grounded perspective.
