Triple P Seminar Series, The Power of Positive Parenting

Given the many challenges (countered by the many joys!) parents face in a complex and evolving world, ASC is excited to announce the first Seminar in the Term 1 2025 Triple P Seminar Series, The Power of Positive Parenting. This free seminar will be held in Week 8 of this term and is proudly sponsored by the ASC P&F. 

This seminar will provide a solid foundation for embracing the Positive Parenting approach. The Triple P - Positive Parenting Program, is an internationally recognised program that gives parents the skills they need to build strong family relationships, manage misbehaviour and prevent problems happening in the first place.

The Power of Positive Parenting seminar will focus on some of the essential elements of parenting:

- Promoting children's development and manage behaviour and emotions in a positive way 
- How to create a safe, interesting and positive learning environment
- How to use assertive discipline
- Setting realistic expectations (for yourself and your child)
- Taking care of yourself as a parent

Facilitated by Sheleen Davis (College Psychologist, Triple P Facilitator) and supported by Shona Browne (Teacher, Junior School) and Susana De Oliveira (College Psychologist)
