• What is Tropical Aura?

  Tropical Aura is a 3-day Bachata & Brazilian Zouk festival in the heart of Bali.

  Three days of dancing, music, classes, socials and late-night parties — bringing the Bachata and Zouk communities together in a tropical setting.

  Whether you're coming to learn, dance until sunrise, meet new people or simply experience Bali through dance, Tropical Aura is built around the joy of moving, connecting and sharing the dance floor.

• When is Tropical Aura?

  14–16 May 2027

• What dances are featured?

  Tropical Aura brings together Bachata and Brazilian Zouk.

  Expect dedicated classes and experiences for both dances, while creating space for dancers from both communities to meet, dance and explore something beyond their usual scene.

• What does the Full Festival Pass include?

  The Full Festival Pass is your all-access festival experience.

  It includes the scheduled classes, socials and parties throughout the three-day festival.

  Want to go deeper? Masterclasses and Jack & Jill competitions are available as separate add-ons.

• What is the difference between a Day Pass and a Party Pass?

  Day Pass — Come for one selected festival day and enjoy the programming available that day.

  3-Night Party Pass — Dance through all three official festival nights.

  1-Night Party Pass — Join us for one selected festival night.

  Choose the experience that fits your trip — from one unforgettable night to the full Tropical Aura weekend.

• Are Masterclasses included?

  Masterclasses are not included in the regular festival passes.

  They are special add-on experiences for dancers who want to spend more time with the featured instructors and take their dancing further.

  Bachata Masterclass — US$45
  Brazilian Zouk Masterclass — US$45

  A valid festival admission ticket is required to attend.

• Are the Jack & Jill competitions included?

  Jack & Jill competitions are separate add-ons and are not included in your festival pass.

  Registration is US$10 per person, with separate Leader and Follower tickets available for both Bachata and Brazilian Zouk.

  A valid festival admission ticket is required to participate.

• Is the Tropical Aura T-shirt included?

  Yes — if you get in early.

  The limited-edition Tropical Aura T-shirt is included with Early Bird and Regular Full Festival Passes, while stocks last.

  Last Call and Door Full Festival Passes do not include the T-shirt.

• Can I come for just one night?

  Absolutely.

  If you're only able to join us for one night, the 1-Night Party Pass gives you access to that evening's social and party.

  If you're planning to dance all weekend, the 3-Night Party Pass gives you access to all three official festival nights.

• Can I transfer my ticket?

  Yes. If your plans change, you can transfer your ticket to another person for a US$20 transfer fee.

  Please contact the Tropical Aura team with your original ticket details and the new attendee's information. Transfers must be completed before the applicable transfer deadline.

• Can I get a refund?

  No refunds can be made.

• Can beginners attend?

  Of course.

  Tropical Aura welcomes dancers across different experience levels. Class levels will be clearly indicated in the festival schedule, so you can choose sessions that match your experience and goals.

• Do I need a dance partner?

  No. Come solo, with a partner, or with your entire dance crew.

  Depending on the class, instructors may use partner rotations, giving you plenty of opportunities to dance with different people throughout the festival.

• What should I wear?

  Think Bali + dancing.

  Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for daytime classes, while your favourite dancewear will take you into the evening.

  And don't forget something you can comfortably dance in — there will be plenty of dancing.

• Where should I stay?

  Tropical Aura takes place in Ubud, Bali.

  We recommend staying within reasonable distance of the festival venue so you can easily move between your accommodation and the festival throughout the weekend.

• How do I get around Ubud?

  Bali is easy to explore by scooter, taxi and ride-hailing services.

  If you're staying outside central Ubud, give yourself some extra travel time, especially around the busier periods.

• What currency are tickets sold in?

  All Tropical Aura ticket prices are listed in US dollars (USD).
