Event description

Discover how to connect with your true potential in this inspiring taster session. The True North Program helps students build confidence, clarity, and emotional awareness through powerful mindset tools, daily rituals, and self-discovery. Explore key topics like self-esteem, values, boundaries, and how to overcome overwhelm and procrastination.

The True North course is a free 6-week course for Deakin students. If you sign up for this program you will receive a free booklet with content covered in the sessions and an opportunity to have three FREE 1:1 on-line sessions with Sheryn to explore more of what was covered.

Your Facilitator: Sheryn Stafford:

Sheryn manages the school nursing program in the Department of Education – Barwon Area and is a passionate wellbeing advocate and life coach with over 15 years’ experience supporting young people. Her career began as a secondary school health promotion nurse, where she delivered health education and facilitated wellbeing programs that helped students navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-awareness. Now, as a life coach, Sheryn aims to help University students reconnect with who they truly are – beyond external expectations, pressures and self-doubt. Her ‘True North’ approach empowers individuals to live with intention, trust their inner compass and create a future that feels aligned and fulfilling. Her motto is “Who you are becoming is more important than who you have been”.

Known for her warm, down-to-earth and energetic style, Sheryn creates a safe, welcoming space in her sessions – blending real talk with uplifting energy and practical tools. Whether you’re feeling a little lost or simply ready to reset, Shery’s guidance will help you pause, reflect and move forward with clarity and confidence. Sheryn lives by the beach, has two young adult children and is a big fan of sunrise swims, nature walks and living in the moment.

So come along and meet Sheryn, learn more about this program and how to sign up!

Please note this session will not be recorded so we encourage you to attend the live session. A link will be distributed to all students who registered for this session who wish to complete the 6-week course (regardless if you attend this taster).
