Truffle Hunting Experience
Event description
On the hunt for ultimate foodie experience? BOP Eats has teamed up with Trufflewood, one of the Bay of Plenty’s highest-producing truffle farms, to offer our foodies a rare and memorable experience that brings together the best of the Bay of Plenty’s produce and people.
The farm has been harvesting some of the best-quality truffles in New Zealand, featured on the menu of Amisfield, one of the top 100 restaurants in the world, and Ahi, voted NZ’s best restaurant by Cuisine Magazine. Now, they want to invite you onto their lifestyle farm for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to hunt, dig, and devour truffles.
You will go on a search with their truffle hunting dog as he helps you sniff out a black Perigord truffle at the height of the truffle season, which lasts only from late May through to July. Once you have found your edible treasure, you will have the opportunity to taste the truffles in a variety of delicious ways.
