Try Before You Ride Ballarat

                               

V/Line in partnership with City of Ballarat 

is offering

'TRY BEFORE YOU RIDE'

A program to help you feel more confident using public transport

• Come along and try out trains, buses and taxis in a safe and comfortable environment. 
  

• Learn how to ride your local service and explore ticketing.

• Understand what occurs during a disruption on the V/Line network.

• Learn about navigating public transport with a Motorised Mobility Device, with Astec Equipment Services.

All people, ages and abilities welcome

Staff will be on hand to support you on your journey and provide all the information you need to feel comfortable on public transport.

When: Wednesday 30th April 2025

Where: Ballarat Railway Station (continuing onto Wendouree Station - see details below)

Time: 10.00am-12.30pm 

Cost: Free

Bookings: Essential 

This is a roaming event. Please arrive no later than 10.30am to catch the 10.44am service from Ballarat to Wendouree station, where you will be able to try the other modes of transport.

*Participants not boarding the train at Ballarat are welcome to attend the information sessions at Wendouree Station, commencing at 11.00am.

Park & Ride: 

A Free Park & Ride Service will operate between City Oval and Ballarat Station. Free parking and bus departure from inside the oval grounds.

Bus departure: City Oval to Ballarat Station - 9.45am sharp 

Bus departure: Ballarat Station to City Oval - 12.45pm sharp

Bookings essential: reserve your seat when registering for this event.

Please plan ahead if parking close to Ballarat Station.

Appropriate weather wear: hat, coat, sunscreen

Comfortable footwear
