La Trobe Sport invites you to FREE COME AND TRY Vinyasa Yoga classes and finish off with a healthy snack in the new Club House in the Agora!

For our premium members, we're also pleased to announce we have launched a new Vinyasa Yoga class on Monday nights at 5:15pm (beginning Monday 15 September)!

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that connects breath with movement through a seamless sequence of poses. Each class begins with foundational postures such as Mountain (a grounding pose that builds awareness of posture, alignment, and breath), Downward Dog (an energising inversion that stretches the hamstrings, calves, and shoulders while strengthening the arms), Chaturanga (a strength-building pose that engages the upper body and prepares for upward-facing postures) and Upward Dog (a backbend that opens the chest and strengthens the arms and spine).

 The practice then progresses into standing and balancing postures such as Warrior (strong standing poses that develop leg strength, hip mobility, and focus), Triangle (a lengthening pose that stretches the sides of the body, opens the hips, and improves balance) and Tree (a balancing posture that enhances concentration and stability while opening the hips).

 Each sequence is designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance while cultivating focus, calm, and mindfulness.
