Tuan Environment Reserve - Community Koala Tree Planting
Event description
Tuan Environment Reserve is a Sunshine Council nature refuge which is home to over 800 species of native animals, including threatened koalas.Â
Join Hinterland Bush Links and Bunya Bunya Aboriginal Corporation on Sunday the 15th of September to plant 1000 koala food and habitat trees for our local wildlife.Â
Gubbi Gubbi Elder Kerry Jones will lead a Cultural Heritage Induction and welcome us to country, before we lend our green thumbs to nature. All ages and experiences are welcome, just bring along a hat, sun-safe clothing, sturdy footwear, and a water bottle. All other tools and materials will be provided.
Sign up now to contribute to protecting our furry friends, meet likeminded individuals, and connect with culture and land.
This event will require minimal walking to the planting area and work on uneven terrain.
Please note that we cannot accommodate pets at this event. Please do not attend if you are experiencing cold and/or flu symptoms. Attendees will be provided with the address and meeting details via email upon registration and prior to the event.
