Adult Introduction to Wheel throwing (pottery wheel)  

If wheel throwing is something you have always wanted to learn here is your chance!  

Learn the basics of wheel throwing in this four-week course. The first week will focus on preparing the clay and centring it on the wheel to provide a strong foundation for throwing a range of forms. In week two you will learn how to pull up the walls of the clay and how to alter your technique to make several simple forms. Week three will be trimming your forms to refine them. Week four will be focusing on completing your pieces glazing if they have been bisque fired.  

Please bring an apron and towel each week.

New to ceramics? No problem! Your facilitator will introduce you to the essential techniques and, once you’re comfortable, you’ll have the freedom to craft your own masterpieces with expert support along the way. Suitable for all skill levels, these workshops provide a welcoming environment for creativity to flourish!
