    Registering here will give you access to all four interactive sessions with leading Māori in tertiary teaching and learning. If you would like to register for the individual sessions, visit Tuia Te Ako Hui Ipurangi

    Our Tuia Te Ako Hui Ipurangi series welcomes everyone

    We welcome anyone interested in supporting tertiary Māori teaching and learning success to join us for these topical 1.5 hour online interactive sessions. Whether you are Māori or non-Māori, and whether you are based in workplace learning or a tertiary education organisation, you will find the presentations insightful and empowering.

    The sessions are: 

    24 February 2021, 12:00-1:30pm - Professor Margaret Mutu - Embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi to address racism in the tertiary sector

    1 April 2021, 12:00-1:30pm - Mamaeroa Merito - Impact of Covid-19 on Māori ākonga/learners across the tertiary education sector

    30 June 2021, 12:00-1:30pm - Dr Eruera Tārena - Ngāti Āpōpō: How Te Tiriti-based innovation can create a better tomorrow

    16 September 2021, 12:00-1:30pm - Matiu Julian - Working with Māori communities to build sustainable futures through bespoke education programmes based on Kaupapa Māori

    Billing information

    We accept payments by card or by invoice. At checkout you will be able to choose your payment option. Invoices are raised by Massey University on behalf of Ako Aotearoa so please note that there will be a delay between registering for the event and receiving the invoice.  

    If you would like to pay by invoice, before registering, please find out from your finance team:

    • the billing address and the email address you would like the invoice sent to
    • whether or not you require a purchase number, if a purchase order number is required, please email accounts@ako.ac.nz after registering with the order number in the subject line.
