Free Workshop for Local Businesses: Turning Social Impact Into Business Value
Description
A practical workshop to help businesses understand social impact and procurement, to recognise the impact they may create and use this more effectively in tenders, partnerships and client/sales conversations.
Businesses have traditionally been great at supporting communities through sponsorships and donation. Today though, businesses that can demonstrate the ‘social value’ they create are often more successful, particularly when tendering for government work, supplying larger organisations or responding to procurement requirements.
Many businesses are also already creating social value without necessarily recognising it or communicating it clearly.
This free workshop will help your business understand what social impact looks like in practice, identify where it may already exist in your business and explore practical ways to strengthen, demonstrate and communicate it.
Led by certified social enterprise consultancy Amplifier Collective, the session will explore:
how social value and social procurement are showing up in government and larger-client procurement
how to recognise the social impact your business may already be creating
practical opportunities through employment, purchasing, partnerships and community connection
how to turn good intentions and existing activities into a clearer approach
how to communicate your impact more confidently in tenders, client conversations and partnerships
The session is suitable for business owners and managers throughout the City of Banyule, as well as staff responsible for tenders, procurement, people and culture, partnerships, sustainability or community engagement.
No previous experience in social impact or social procurement is required.
