Fri, 20 Nov, 9am - 12pm AWST

Description

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

Social media can be a powerful way to connect with customers and generate sales but knowing where to focus and how to turn social activity into action can be challenging.

This practical workshop explores how businesses can use social media to guide customers from discovering a product or service through to making an enquiry, booking or purchase. You’ll compare different social commerce pathways and consider which platforms and approaches best suit your audience, offering and business.

The session also covers how to connect social channels with ecommerce platforms, combine organic and paid activity, and measure the actions that contribute to enquiries and sales.

This topic covers:
  • Understanding different social commerce pathways, from product tags and direct messages to bookings and website checkout.

  • Comparing social platforms and identifying which options best suit your business.

  • Matching platforms and content approaches to your audience, product or service and capacity.

  • Connecting social channels with ecommerce platforms and other business systems.

  • Mapping the customer journey from discovery through to purchase and follow up.

  • Using organic content, creators, paid promotion and retargeting to support sales.

  • Measuring the activity that contributes to enquiries and sales.
