Turtle Dreaming
Description
Turtle Dreaming – A Mixed Media Art Experience 🐢✨
Come spend a creative Saturday afternoon experimenting, playing and getting beautifully messy with mixed media!
Join me at Social Arts WA in my private Dawesville Art Studio for a relaxed 3.5-hour mixed media art experience, where I’ll guide you through creating your own colourful and completely individual Turtle Dreaming artwork.
This session is all about layers, texture, pattern and creative freedom. Rather than everyone trying to reproduce exactly the same painting, you’ll build your canvas intuitively using a variety of techniques and materials before bringing your turtle to life.
We’ll experiment with stencils, mark-making, layering, colour and pattern, creating a richly decorated surface filled with unexpected details. Once our layers have developed, we’ll introduce the turtle design and explore negative-space painting to reveal and define the turtle against the surrounding ocean.
The magic is that no two turtles will be the same. 🐢💙
No previous art experience is needed. I’ll demonstrate each technique and guide you through the process, while giving you plenty of freedom to explore your own colours, patterns and ideas.
Bring along your favourite BYO drinks and nibbles, settle into the studio and give yourself an afternoon to simply create.
