Tusekah and Friends (Graduation Show)
Event description
This performance marks the night of Tusekah’s graduation and will be Tusekah’s first time performing in Ōtuatahi in almost two years. Tusekah will be performing released and unreleased songs alongside her Ōtuatahi band Anand Yoganathan on bass, Joel Coleman on drums, Sabryna Ngaau on keys and Tom Clarke on Guitar. The night will be opened by performances from Joel Coleman, Ezra Neal, KY and Zoe Hunter.
Tusekah is a singer/songwriter who releases music with the sounds of RnB/NeoSoul. She released her first single 'Childhood Friends' in 2021, and had since released three more singles 'I ain’t waiting around', 'I’ve Changed' and ‘Baby’s Breath’. Recent career highlights include opening for Olivia Dean’s Australia/New Zealand tour in February 2025. Tusekah has also opened for multi-grammy award winning PJ Morton and for local musicians such as Jess B and Deva Mahal. Tusekah has performed all over the country delivering what have been described as “spine tingling” performances most notably headlining a tour of Aotearoa in 2024 which hosted full-capacity shows in Wellington and Dunedin.
