TV Historian Andrew Mercado wants to take you back to the classic days of Australian television. 

Re-live the shows that shocked us, the ads that sucked us in, and the people who made it happen.

Nobody knows more about Australian TV than Andrew. He’s been a regular on the box since 1999 when he began interviewing the stars and being the movie guy on Mornings With Kerrie-Anne. 

He wants to celebrate the glory days with you, when you had to get off your chair and walk over to change the channel. And depending on where you lived, you had a choice of five stations … or just two.

This presentation can involve interviews, musical numbers, and specially edited footage from rare TV series, with a special focus on NBN3 and shows seen in and around Newcastle. 

WARNING - this show may contain:

 violence (cops in pork pie hats driving Kingswood cars), 

nudity (where women had to show it all while the men preserved their modesty) and, most shockingly of all, 

black and white footage.
