What to expect?
Twerk 101 is a 6 week course where we will learn basic technique for participants that are new to this discipline, to more complicated variations for the ones who've been burning the dance floor for a while.Â
We will focus on learning the proper postures, understand what muscles are involved and learn the motion motor. We will work on our mobility and strength to perfect the techniques, to move correctly and consciously.
We will apply what we learn to one routine, so get ready for a powerful and uplifting reggaeton choreography.
Twerk 101 will get us ready for Twerk 102, the last course of 2024.
Everyone is welcome
It doesn't matter if you have twerked before or not at all, this is a beginner friendly course and also a safe space where you can be yourself, feel amazing and be who you want to be.
What to bring?
Bottle of water and kneepads are essential, comfortable shoes and outfits that makes you feel awesome, definitely loose shorts or pants (nothing tight as you will not be able to fully work the moves).
To make our training more spicy, bring a booty band or resistance band and a yoga block. Twerk is a full body workout, after each class you will tick off your cardio for the week plus some strengthening.Â
If I can't make it to all the 6 sessions, can I attend single classes?
Sure you can! Although I recommend to take the whole course because we will work progressively and you will be able to see your own growth. Each Saturday we will learn a new routine, which will be part of the final choreography.
