    Get ready to step outside your comfort zone and dive into where the magic happens. Our competitors last year felt prepared and excited to showcase their talent, and they absolutely nailed it.  If you have any concerns or need some encouragement to enter please email us asspireentertainment@gmail.com

    How it will run:

    The competition features three categories: solos, duos, and groups, welcoming dancers of all levels to compete for the title of Top Twerker. 

    Round One: Choreography round for each category. Judges will select the top two from each category to battle in round two.

    Round Two: The top two from each category enter a freestyle round where they battle for the title of Top Twerker.

    Entry Cost:
    • One category: $15
    • Two or more categories: $25

    Don't miss this chance to push your limits, connect with fellow dancers, and leave your mark on the stage. This is your moment to shine bright and inspire others.

    Eligibility:
    The twerk competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and above.

    Performance Content:

    All performances must consist of twerk dance elements. Choreography and creativity are encouraged, but offensive content is strictly prohibited. 

    Definition: Offensive content is any material or actions that may be considered disrespectful, inappropriate, or harmful to others. If you’re unsure, please feel free to contact us

    Time Limit:

    Each participant or group will have a maximum time limit to showcase their twerking skills.

    Solos: 2 minutes
    Duos: 3 minutes
    Groups: 3 minutes

    Costumes and Attire:
    While we're all about self-expression nudity or costumes that expose private areas are prohibited. Nipple covers are permitted but must be secured by spirit gum or tape. If you have any concerns about your costume, please reach out!

    Music:

    Participants must provide their own music in a compatible format (MP3 or WAV). Instructions will be sent to you when you register.

    Props:

    The use of props is allowed, but they must be safe, manageable, and not cause any harm to other participants, venue or the audience. Props must be approved by the competition organisers before the 4th August. If you have not specified your props on your
    registration form please email asspireentertainment@gmail.com the details of your prop to gain approval.

    Sportsmanship:

    All participants must display good sportsmanship and respect towards fellow participants, judges, and event staff. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in disqualification.

    The following criteria will be considered by the judging panel when evaluating performances:

    Technique and Skill:
    The participants' mastery of twerking techniques, including isolations, hip control, body rolls, and intricate movements.

    Musicality and Rhythm:
    The ability to synchronise movements with the rhythm, beat, and musical nuances of the chosen music. Including showing the understanding of musicality (timing of the song)

    Creativity and Originality:
    The uniqueness and innovation displayed in choreography, transitions, and overall performance concept.

    Stage Presence and Confidence:
    The participant's ability to captivate the audience, exhibit charisma, and project confidence throughout the performance.

    Execution and Precision:
    The precision, clarity, and cleanliness of the movements, including fluidity, control, and synchronization.

    Energy and Performance Level:
    The overall energy, stamina, enthusiasm, and intensity demonstrated throughout the performance.

    Presentation and Appearance:
    The overall presentation, including costume choice, grooming, stage utilisation, and visual appeal.

    Crowd Reaction:
    The crowd's response, including applause, cheers, and overall audience engagement during the performance.

    Note: The judging panel may also consider any additional specific criteria or requirements communicated to the participants prior to the competition.

    Please note that these rules and judging criteria are subject to change at the discretion of the event organizers. Participants will be notified of any updates or modifications prior to the competition.
