Originally from Sydney, Charlie Melton is now a Barossa icon with nearly 50 vintages under his belt. After apprenticing with Peter Lehmann, Charlie joined a group of like-minded Barossa winemakers in the early 80s, focusing on reviving Grenache and Shiraz. Today, these varietals are the cornerstone of Charles Melton Wines. Charlie is renowned for his Grenache blend 'Nine Popes' and his full-bodied Rosé, 'Rose of Virginia.'

A second-generation Barossa Valley winemaker, Sophie Melton has always been surrounded by wine. With a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Adelaide and experience as an Assistant Winemaker at Thorn-Clarke Wines, Sophie now works alongside her father, crafting classic Barossa Reds with a focus on dry-grown, bush vine vineyards
