UC Wellbeing Presents: International Student Gala Hollywood Night 💃🕺🪩

Join us for a night to remember! Your ticket includes a nine-course canapé-style dinner, snack bar, and one complimentary drink on arrival. The bar will also be open throughout the evening, with drinks available for purchase.

Get ready to hit the dance floor as our DJ spins a mix of current chart-toppers and nostalgic favourites that are sure to keep you moving all night long.

Please note: This event is exclusively for current University of Canberra students. As alcohol will be served, this is an 18+ event. Security staff will be present at the venue and will conduct ID checks and bag inspections upon entry.

1. Why a gala? - ✅ We're here to celebrate UC's international student community and the rich diversity that makes our campus so vibrant

2. I'm not an international student. Can I still come? - ✅ Absolutely! The International Student Gala is open to all current UC students aged 18+. While the event celebrates multiculturalism and diversity, all supporters, allies, and friends of the community are warmly welcome :)

3. How is it so affordable, what's the catch? - ✨ No catch! This event is proudly brought to you by the UC Student Wellbeing & Support team. We know student budgets can be tight, so we've made the event as accessible and affordable as possible.

4. Do I have to spend more on the night? - 🍹Only if you would like to purchase more drinks. We've even worked to keep drinks budget-friendly throughout the evening ($6.5 alcohol $2.0 soft drinks), so you can enjoy the night without breaking the bank 😉

5. Can I invite my friend who goes to different uni or have graduated? - This event is for current UC Students only 🩵

6. I’m not sure who to come with. Is it okay to attend on my own? - ✅ Absolutely! Plenty of students come along on their own, and there will be lots of opportunities to meet new people throughout the night. Our friendly Wellbeing Team will be there to support you, and a Wellbeing Chill Space will be available if you'd like a quiet place to relax and recharge. 😊

7. What if I don't drink alcohol?
   ✅ No worries! Soft drinks and non-alcoholic options will be available throughout the evening.

8. Do I need to dress formally?
   ✅ The dress code is Red Carpet Glam, but you don't need to spend lots of money. Wear whatever makes you feel confident and event-ready.

9. Are there vegetarian, vegan, halal, or dietary options?
   ✅ Yes! Dietary requirements can be included during registration so everyone can enjoy the evening.

10. Will there be assigned seating?
    ✅ No. The event is designed to be social and relaxed, giving you plenty of opportunities to meet people and move around throughout the night.
