UC SVA Marlborough Camp | Hopuni Tūao
Event description
In our first camp of 2024 we will be taking students to Marlborough for a weekend of volunteering. Camps are a great way to meet new people, explore new places and volunteer with communities outside of the wider Canterbury region.
WHEN:
Friday 10th May - Sunday 12th May
We will meet at Haere-Roa at 10:30am on Friday and arrive back in Christchurch on Sunday evening.
COST:
$20
Tickets will be out on Friday 26th April at 2pm!
MAHI:
On Saturday we will have a split of people working with both the Link Pathway Trust and Wild Waikawa in a range of projects including planting, track maintenance, trapping and weed control. We will then join back together as a group on Sunday. Volunteers will also be able to explore local waterfalls, beaches, glow worms and tracks throughout the weekend!
WHAT IS PROVIDED?
- FOOD! All food will be provided throughout the weekend including a BBQ.
- ACCOMODATION! We will be staying at Smiths Farm Holiday Park in Marlborough.
- TRANSPORT!
All for the price of $20!
This camp is open to all UC students - you don't have to be a member of the SVA!
