UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge Concert - May 10

As many of you know, two and a half years ago, my life changed with a rare and unexpected ovarian cancer diagnosis that led to the removal of a 12.5-pound tumor from my abdominal and pelvic cavity. While recovering in the hospital, my surgeon, Dr. Bristow, recruited me to join the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge — and this year, I’m honored to serve as co-captain of his team again, as well as the 2024 Patient and Physician Honorees.

On Saturday, May 10, we’re hosting an unforgettable benefit concert — and I would love for you to join us! Be sure to invite your friends and family. We want a big crowd!

It will be an evening filled with live music, community, food, drinks, and purpose, all to support cancer research.

Here’s what’s in store:

• Phil Vandermost – A regular at OC favorites like Trevor's at the Tracks, Beachfire, and The Counter. Phil has been a loyal supporter of our community and brings a heartfelt, feel-good energy to every performance.
• Selly – Known for his soulful, vibrant performances at Brightwaters, the Ranch, and the Sawdust Festival. I first met Selly at Bru, and he even played at my graduation party years ago!
• Brian McClintic – You may recognize Brian from the Netflix documentary SOMM, where he earned his Master Sommelier title. He later became a leading advocate for sustainable wine practices — and today, he’s channeling his creative talents through music with a voice that's raw, moving, and unforgettable.
• Les Ailles and Jay Lee Campbell – Introduced to us by Brian, they bring original artistry, powerful lyrics, and incredible energy to the stage.
• Cristina Trujillo – Cristina and I grew up making music together, performing in award-winning groups, including a Grammy-recognized ensemble at NHS. She’s an incredibly gifted vocalist and instrumentalist, known for her rich musicality, passion, and grace on stage. I'm beyond excited to have her join our lineup for this special evening.

100% of proceeds go directly to cancer research at UCI Health. All contributions are fully tax-deductible.
