UDA at the Pub: Career Pathways in UD

The next UDA at the Pub is almost here!

This time our focus will be on career pathways in urban design. We are encouraging our emerging urban designers to discuss career pathways with more experienced practitioners. This is an opportunity to ask questions in a friendly and supportive environment. So come with your questions or sit down and listen while sipping a drink for insights into our career as urban designers.

When: Wednesday 26th June, 6pm onwards.

Where: Level 2, The Belvedere Hotel, 482 Kent St, Sydney.

Format: The event will take place in two parts:

1. 6pm - 7pm: Speed Chats.
2. 7pm onwards: General drinks and chat (no registration required).

Speed Chats? This will be a bit like speed dating. Participants will divide into tables (max 4 participants), each led by an experienced practitioner who will discuss career pathways and answer questions. Every 15-20 minutes, participants will switch tables. This way all participants have the opportunity to chat to multiple people in a fun, supportive environment!

Our wonderful experienced practitioners come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of experiences, offering participants exposure to a variety of perspectives!

What happens next? At around 7pm, we will dissolve the formal tables and encourage everyone to have a drink and a chat. UDA at the pub is an excuse to meet like minded practitioners in a relaxed environment, have a drink and get to know eachother, so everyone is always welcome!

Do I have to do one or the other? You are welcome to attend either one or both parts of the evening. If you come early and are not interested in Speed Chats, you are welcome to have a drink at the bar until 7pm.
