UDA at the Pub: Career Pathways in Urban Design
Event description
The next UDA at the Pub is just around the corner, and this time we're focusing on Career Pathways in Urban Design. Whether you're just starting out or exploring your next move, this event is a chance to hear from experienced practitioners, ask questions, and connect with others in the field—all in a friendly and relaxed setting.
Date: Wednesday 18 June
Time: From 6:30pm
Location: The Arcadia, 7 Cope St, Redfern
Cost: Free
Timings:
6:30pm – 7:30pm
Professional Speed Networking (Registration required)
Participants will rotate between tables, each hosted by an experienced urban designer. At each table, you'll hear about different career journeys, gain insights, and have the chance to ask questions in a small-group setting. Every 15–20 minutes, you'll switch tables to hear from someone new. It’s a great way to learn from a range of perspectives in a supportive environment.
7:30pm onwards
General Drinks and Chat (No registration required)
After the structured part of the evening, the tables dissolve—but the conversation continues. Stick around for a casual catch-up with peers and practitioners over drinks.
Who Should Attend?
This event is especially valuable for early-career urban designers or students looking to understand the varied pathways available in the profession. The invited practitioners come from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a broad and inclusive discussion.
Can I Attend Just One Part?
Yes. You're welcome to come for just the Speed Networking, just the social, or both. If you prefer to skip the structured activity, feel free to join us from 7:30pm onwards.
We look forward to seeing you there!
