Not only with the forum showcase the Planning Institute of Australia (WA)’s 2024 Urban Design-related award winners, but several leading experts will join us to stimulate discussion on the recently announced Perth Foreshore Masterplan revitalisation.

Nic and Maddie will outline the award-winning Vincent Link and Place Guidelines that were created to improve safety and boost green amenity, with easy-to-follow tips to support better road works upgrades and private development along Vincent’s streets.
PERTH FORESHORE MASTERPLAN - PRESENTERS
Dr Julian Bolleter:
Director of the Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) at the University of Western Australia, government advisor and media go-to.
The author of ‘Take Me to the River: The Story of Perth's Foreshore’ will talk us through the evolution of the foreshore and flotsam, and jetsam of the previous plans, review key benchmarks, and discuss some key challenges, including the effects of climate change.
Professor Francesco Mancini – Curtin University
Deputy head of the School in the School of Design and the Built Environment – Curtin University.
The founder of the Perth Urban Research Lab (PURL) will discuss a range of concepts developed by Curtin Architect students with mentors from around the world. How do they see the future, and what can we learn from their investigations?
