Summer 2024 / 2025 Introduction:
We're a small volunteer committee organized mountain bike club based at the Uenuku Pines MTB Park - Ruapehu's first dedicated mountain bike park! Over the past 2 years we've been continuously working on the rebuild of the bike park and are excited to share the recent logging and replanting operations have been completed over the past winter - we'll continue to work on expanding the trail network!
We've introduced and rebuilt 7 trails over the last couple of summers and soon to be the 8th this summer with the extension of Waterfall Express now near completion. This extension will serve as a new climbing trail alongside Dropper. For those keen on jumps, make sure to check out High Flyer! Please ride safely, stay within your ability level and scope out the trails and features first!
Currently the trail signage is limited at the bike park and we're often updating trails on our trail map, for this reason we highly encourage riders to use the TRAILFORKS app for reference while riding at the bike park. On Trailforks, you will also find highlighted the logging/gravel roads throughout the park that can be used by riders to move around between trails - for example, the gravel roads can be used to connect between the bottom of Loose Chain to the Top of Dropper or Cog Wild.
To see recent photos and videos of riding at Uenuku Pines MTB Park, head over to our Instagram account! We'd love for you to share your rides with us, tag @ruapehumtbclub and #uenukupinesmtbpark in your posts!
We appreciate you taking the time to sign up to be a member with Ruapehu MTB Club and thank you for understanding that membership to Ruapehu MTB Club is required to ride at Uenuku Pines MTB Park, this is part of our lease agreement with NZ Forestry Managers - similar to many other clubs and bike parks across New Zealand.
$10 Single Day Pass, $25 Individual Season pass, $50 Family Season Pass
We are stoked to have you on board, and look forward to establishing more trails this summer! If you are keen to pitch in, please get in touch, many hands make light work.
See you on the trails !
Cheers,
Greg, Matiu, Jordana, Gemma, and Zach
