UHAD You Yangs Hike

Details:
● Location: You Yangs Regional Park (Wurdi Youang)

● Date: Friday 26th May at 12pm

● Meeting location: carpark next to Park Office/Visitor Center @ 11:45am
(note attendees to organize their own transport)

● What’s included
- Two hour hike, Big Rock walk. From the carpark we will head towards Big Rock and then
return to the start
- Talk from Parks Victoria Education Officer - Vanessa Wiggenraad
focuses on Wadawurrung culture, early settlers history, history of the park, flora & fauna
- Provided Food: water bottle + packaged sandwiches + light snacks

● Safety: Please ensure that you are wearing clothing suitable for the outdoors and sturdy
shoes (no thongs). You should bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Water bottles will be
provided, and if needed can be refilled behind the Park Office (only spot that has drinking water).

Itinerary
Meet at You Yangs carpark next to Park Office/Visitor Center @ 11:45am
- Sign in
- Distribute snacks and water
12pm-2pm Hike
2:15 sign off

Ticket prices: $8 for UHAD members, $10 for DUSA members, $12 for non members

Personal transport to Wurdi Youang is required, carpooling encouraged.

*Relocation may be required in the event of severe wet weather
