UN Day 2026: Her Edition

UN DAY 2026: Her Edition

In-person and online across Australia!

Women have been part of the UN story from the start. They helped write the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and today they lead work on peace, health, climate and human rights around the world. Yet more than 80 years on, the UN has never had a woman as Secretary-General, and women remain underrepresented at the tables where global decisions are made. 'Her Edition' honours that progress, asks hard questions about the gaps that remain, and looks at what young Australians can do to close them.

This UN Day, the UNAA Young Professionals are bringing Australia together as one united nation, in every state and territory, to celebrate the women who built the United Nations, the women leading it today, and the allies helping to shape what comes next.

Every speaker on this year's line-up is a woman or a committed ally. They work in diplomacy, policy, advocacy and community leadership, and each brings their own view of what gender equality looks like in practice and why it matters to the UN's future.

Whether you're a seasoned UN advocate or just curious about where you fit in global affairs, join young professionals across the country for an evening of insight, conversation and connection.

 This event will:

• Honour the UN’s legacy and vision for the future.

• Showcase diverse voices and thought leadership from across Australia.

• Provide a unique networking platform for emerging leaders and professionals.

Online viewing link, in-person event locations, and final speaker bios will be updated in coming days!

We look forward to seeing you all there!
