UNAS Fundraiser: Nepal-Tibet Flood Relief

On the 26th of August, Nepal and Tibet were struck by devastating flash floods that has left thousands of innocent people affected. Unfortunately, as many of you will have heard, this hits quite close to home as two of our own JMP students, Rudra Iyer and Rishab Iyer (3rd and 5th year) are amongst the many that are still missing. Not only are they our classmates and dear friends, but Rishab is the vice-president and a founding member of our society.

Given this, UNAS will be holding a fundraiser event in Central Coast on Monday 21st September at the new UoN Gosford Campus, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Global Emergency Fund. There will be a $5 donation for entry, with a bake sale and catering by a local Nepalese business.

For those who are unable to make it to Central Coast but would like to contribute, we will also be opening donations online. Again, thank you very much for your support during this time.
