Unburden the shoulders Myofascial Release:Yin Yoga: Gong Sound Journey
Event description
A half-day mini Retreat
To Release the responsibilities we shoulder, the worries we harbour. And the emotional weight we carry
"Unburden the Shoulders" is a half-day mini-retreat dedicated to helping you release the physical and emotional weight carried in your shoulders. This retreat is about more than just relaxation—it's an opportunity to let go of the responsibilities we shoulder, the worries we harbor, and the emotional burdens that weigh us down.
During our time together, we'll be supported by mother cacao from the Cacao Ambassador, a warm and nurturing companion for our journey inward. If cacao isn't your preference, just let us know, and we'll gladly accommodate your needs.
Our bodies often bear the brunt of the stress we experience in our daily lives, particularly in the traps and upper back. The roles we juggle and the duties we manage can create a buildup of tension in these areas, leaving us feeling physically and emotionally drained. Through practices like Myofascial Release and Yin Yoga, we'll work to release this tension, creating space for both physical and emotional relief. This integrated approach will help you find balance, fostering a sense of wholeness and well-being.

For this practice we will focus on the Neck & Shoulders and back, targeting the deep-seated tension often held in this area of the body. Through specialized techniques, we'll gently alleviate discomfort, fostering a sense of relief and relaxation. Combining the therapeutic benefits of Myofascial Release with the gentle, introspective essence of Yin Yoga, our practice will focus on releasing tightness in the fascia—the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs. Myofascial release is renowned for its capacity to ease pain and discomfort by addressing fascial tightness resulting from injury, overuse, or stress.
Throughout our session, we'll use pops such as balls and blocks to target those trigger points in the upper body. We will hold Yin Yoga poses for extended periods, typically 3 to 5 minutes each. This intentional approach invites the parasympathetic nervous system to deeply relax, promoting a profound sense of calm and restoration for body, mind, and soul. In a world often characterised by relentless motion, Yin Yoga offers a precious opportunity to slow down, allowing our nervous systems to replenish and recalibrate.

For our last hour together we will immerse ourselves in a Gong sound journey—a transformative experience that profoundly impacts our nervous system. The gentle vibrations of the gong guide us into states of deep relaxation and peace, syncing our brain waves and bodies to restore balance and release the burdens of stress. In these moments, true nurturing takes root within, fostering a sense of harmony and well-being that extends far beyond the confines of our mini-retreat.
