UNCCD COP16 Presidency’s Riyadh Action Agenda: Agri-Food Systems Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue

Join us for the Riyadh Action Agenda Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues at UNCCD COP16, where diverse voices come together to advance transformative solutions for land conservation, restoration, and drought resilience. These dialogues build on the foundation of the Riyadh Action Agenda, offering participants an opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback, and explore pathways for collective action in the coming years. They take place under the leadership of the COP16 Presidency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are supported by Ambition Loop.

We invite everyone – from companies, financial institutions, regions, cities, academic research and educational institutions, philanthropy bodies, farming groups and agri-food businesses, to civil society groups, including Indigenous Peoples, local communities, women and youth –  to contribute to the agenda with their knowledge and expertise.

Guided by the principles of collaboration and impact, these dialogues will:

• Amplify commitments and actions by governments and non-state actors to scale global responses.
• Identify critical gaps and opportunities for practical solutions and partnerships.
• Mobilize finance to accelerate progress toward UNCCD goals.
• Strengthen synergies across the three Rio Conventions.

This session aims to establish the Riyadh Action Agenda as a cornerstone legacy of COP16 and explore mechanisms for tracking progress toward the ambitious 1.5 billion-hectare restoration goal. It also seeks to align efforts with other key events and processes globally and regionally over the next two years.
