Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles invites you to celebrate Juneteenth and the legacy of the first Black master distiller in U.S. history with a tasting of four Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskeys and a cocktail on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m. at The Liberties of Dublin in Los Angeles.

Each participant will do an individual Lincoln County Process experiment!

National Brand Ambassador Richie Michaels @richiemichaels1 will taste us through the following four award-winning whiskeys:

    • Uncle Nearest 1884: Gold -- 2023 World Whiskies Awards
    • Uncle Nearest 1856: Double Gold -- 2023 Women's Wine & Spirits Awards
    • Uncle Nearest Straight Rye: Gold - 2024 London Spirits Competition
    • Uncle Nearest Single Barrel: Double Platinum -- ASCOT Awards

We'll also enjoy an Uncle Nearest cocktail and a tasty grazing table from The Liberties of Dublin

Uncle Nearest is named for Nathan “Nearest” Green, a formerly enslaved man who taught his distilling techniques to Jack Daniel and was the first master distiller for the Jack Daniel Distillery, as well as the first Black master distiller in the U.S.

We look forward to sipping Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey with you and doing the Lincoln County Process experiment!
