Understanding and Supporting Autistic Clients

Deepen your understanding of how Autistic people experience and interact with their world. Led by an Autistic and ADHDer clinical psychologist, this 1.5 hour webinar will give you the essential knowledge you need to work therapeutically with Autistic clients. You will learn how to:

  • Recognise how Autistic people experience the world including different communication styles, sensory stressors, and social expectations
  • Adapt your therapy to meet the needs of Autistic people
  • Recognise the links between the difficulties Autistic people face, including high rates of trauma, sensitivity to rejection, sensory stress, and social disconnection, and mental health problems
  • Identify clients who mask and camouflage their differences, and use screening tools to explore these differences with sensitivity

On completing this webinar you will have greater confidence in providing effective and affirming therapy for Autistic clients.

PLEASE NOTE: There are two times available for this webinar. Session 1 suits UK & ANZ. Session 2 suits USA & ANZ.
