Travel instructions

We are excited to host these workshops at The Hub Bairnsdale located on the corner of Dalmahoy Street and Service Street. You can get to the venue by: Bus: The Hub is located 400 metres from the Bus interchange at Bairnsdale Station Train: Ross House is located 400 metres from Bairnsdale Station Car: There is a small car park located onsite which can be accessed by Service Street as well as on-street parking on the surrounding streets.

Entry instructions

The workshops will be held in room 7, located on the Service Road side of the building. You can find a site map at each entrance ,which you are welcome to use to locate the room.

Hazards

The Hub is a Heritage Listed Building which served as a school in the early 1900s. It is a single-story building which has been modernised; however, due to its age, there may be some access limitations.

Toilet location

There is an accessible bathroom located outside in the courtyard. We will let you know how to access it on the day.

Accessible parking

There are 3 Accessible parking spaces located close to the venue. Two are located outside the Nabourhood House on Dalmahoy Street and the third is located in the carpark outside the U3A Building on Service Street.

Sensory Information

This event will be a sensory-friendly experience. We will have a range of fidget tools that you can use and we won't be using any microphones, loud sounds or flashing lights. Some of the workshops may feature a short video that will have captioning. If at any time you feel overwhelmed feel free to step outside the room and take a break.

Hidden Disability Sunflower

We proudly support the Hidden Disability Sunflower and encourage anyone with a sunflower lanyard, wristband or pin to wear them to the event. Wearing a sunflower product lets us know that someone has a non-visible disability such as autism and may need some additional support or time.
