    Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

    As a business owner, you’ll find yourself entering into contracts and agreements with suppliers and customers. Understanding key contract terms and conditions is important for any business owner, particularly before you sign any documentation. In this workshop you will be guided through the key conditions to examine before entering into a contract, how to identify unfair contract terms and what to do when problems arise in a contracting arrangement.

    This topic covers:
    • Understanding contracts, terms and conditions
    • The importance of protecting your business and intellectual
    • What is an essential condition and contract
    • Differentiate between condition, warranty and a breach
    • Fair and reasonable conditions in a contract

    This session is for business owners looking to understand their rights when entering into contracts for goods and services.

    The facilitator of this topic, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (Belmont BEC) is a not-for-profit community based organisation established in 1994 to assist in the growth and development of small businesses. 

    The presenter of this workshop is Jules Lewin from Charthill Legal.
