The Epilepsy Foundation proudly presents Understanding Epilepsy and Administration of Midazolam for Disability Support Workers!
This course is delivered by one of our highly qualified team of Registered Nurses, each with expert epilepsy experience and provides the fundamental knowledge required to support a person living with epilepsy.
Participants will learn the facts about epilepsy, different types of seizures and how to spot them, seizure first aid and the potential impacts epilepsy can have on people. Participants will also learn about Epilepsy and Emergency Medication Management Plans and the underpinning knowledge and skills required to safely and competently manage and administer Midazolam for the treatment of seizures.
At the completion of this course, you will complete a practical assessment in front of the nurse.
