Understanding Gender-Based Violence

Elephant Ed is an organisation focused on empowering young people with tools, language and skills to make safe and informed decisions about relationships and growing up. In this session, we will focus on values of respect and empathy - diving into themes of consent, sexual violence, positions of power, being an active upstander and an agent for positive change. Leaning on real-life examples, this keynote will look at how power dynamics, social media, and everyday interactions influence people’s understanding of respect.

This session provides an opportunity to reflect, challenge assumptions, and gain tools to navigate conversations with confidence.
