    TALKING ABOUT GENDER EQUITY IN THE WORKPLACE 

    This training provides professionals with knowledge and skills to understand what gender equity at workplaces means, learn about legislative requirements, and gain confidence when talking about it. The aim of this training is to go beyond foundational knowledge and equip participants with skills to have respectful conversations and know how to respond to resistance.

    IS THIS TRAINING FOR YOU?

    This training is suitable for all professionals including frontline workers, managers, HR professionals, or business leaders interested in understanding gender equality in the workplace.


    TOPICS COVERED:

    • Evidence-based practice
    • Easy explanation of legislations, including the gender equality act and family violence legislation
    • The difference between gender equality and gender equity
    • How to adopt a gender lens in an organisation
    • The benefits of gender equality at workplaces
    • An introduction to intersectionality and how to approach it
    • How to talk confidently about gender equality
    • Approaches to responding to resistance
    • Self-care strategies and debriefing tools to recognise our own cues and learn to work with what we can and can’t control.



    DURATION: 

    Online: 3 hours interactive training on ZOOM, capped at 25 participants. You will do small group activities in breakout rooms.
