Wed, 25 Nov, 5:30am - 7am EST

Description

Enquire is pleased to be joined by the Carers Trust for a webinar exploring intersectional needs, with a particular focus on young carers with care experience. Sharing key information about children's rights to support and examining the connections between caring responsibilities and care experience, this session provides space for professionals to examine their own understanding and share best practice.

The session will include:

  • Information on children's rights to support at school

  • Advice on how professionals can recognise and support children's intersecting needs (with young carers with care experience as an example)

  • Opportunities for discussion and best practice sharing.

The session will take place online. It will last for 1.5 hours, with 45 minutes of presentations, and 45 minutes of discussion in smaller break-out spaces.

Enquire and the Carers Trust hope to use these discussions to aid a collaborative piece of work which sets out the current understanding of these issues among professionals and proposes actionable steps to improve the support available to children and young people across Scotland.
