  • 'Evacuation Centre Training'

N.B. The next scheduled Evacuation Centre Training course is on Thursday, 18th September. Register Here

What is covered?

  • The aim of the training is to give participants an understanding of the principles of Psychological First Aid (PFA) and how and when to provide PFA.

The training

Psychological First Aid (PFA) is a psychosocial support activity that helps people affected by an emergency, disaster or traumatic event.

PFA is useful as the first thing that you might do with individuals or families following a disaster. It is most widely used in the first hours, days and weeks following an event.

This Red Cross training is a key skill for anyone who has completed the Evacuation Centre Training course.
