Event description

The Skill of Self-Observation is a 90-minute virtual workshop about a powerful skill and practice for anyone interested in the work of personal or systems transformation. To learn more about my relationship to self-observation, you may want to check out my free online course on Personal Transformation.

When we deliberately set out on a path of personal growth, we need to know where we’re starting from. Too often, we can get lost in an unrealistic story about who we are and where we need to go. Self-observation (which can be combined with the practice of self-reflection) helps us ground in the reality of where we are. That way - we can start from where we actually are, rather than where we think we are.

Self-observation can be used as a lifelong practice of deepening your relationship with yourself, others, and the world. In my view, it forms an important basis for virtually all other personal growth techniques and practices. Just this one technique, if applied over time, can be enough to begin transforming your life.

In this 90-minute virtual workshop, we’ll cover the following topics:

  • What exactly is self-observation?
  • Why does it matter?
  • How can we use it?
  • How does it fit within a larger framework for personal growth?
  • Opportunities or applied practice within the workshop itself

Zoom link will be made available upon registration.
