Understanding Zoe's Birthday Party

Understanding Zoe turns two. Let's celebrate it together with your village!

Two years ago, in October 2024, we launched the first version of the app with a small group of beta users, and one simple idea: the system is broken, and together we can fix it.

Since then the village has grown well beyond anything we imagined. Families, kids, teachers, therapists, support workers, grandparents, and neurodivergent adults, all of you telling us the truth about what actually helps.

Neurodivergent kids and adults get left off the party list far too often. And when the invitation does come, the room is too loud, too bright, or too crowded to stay in for long. So we are throwing the other kind of party, designed and delivered with Wondiverse, who curate inclusive events for a living.

What's on

Make your own party hat and badge, Lego, a giant banner to colour in, games, space to move, and screens set up so you can have a play with the Understanding Zoe app. Safe food, individually packaged, alongside the party snacks. Tea and coffee. And yes, we are cutting a cake.

Coming as you are is the whole point

There is a quiet space available the whole time, and low lighting where you need it. Lift access and an accessible bathroom. No balloons, so nothing bangs. Stim freely. Arrive late. Leave early. Sit on the floor.

The whole event is free, but places are limited, so please register below.

A photographer and a videographer will be with us on the day and will be easy to spot. You will be asked about photo and video consent when you register. All people under 18 must attend with an adult.

Bring your people, and find your people. Therapists, teachers, support workers, friends and family are all welcome, and so are neurodivergent adults coming on their own.
