WILD CITY: PUNK HORTICULTURE FOR A CONNECTED URBAN FUTURE - BOOK LAUNCH!

Join authors Jon Davies and Steve Williams for an illustrated talk based on their book, Wild City: Punk Horticulture for a Connected Urban Future.

Following the journey of the book, Jon and Steve trace their different routes into horticulture, their chance meeting, and the shared philosophy that grew from bringing their perspectives together. Through stories, photography and projects, they explore how nature can be invited back into our cities and how overlooked spaces and forgotten corners can become places of connection, creativity and change.

Drawing parallels with punk, music and other cultural movements, the talk explores what can happen when people gather around a shared idea and begin to see their surroundings differently.

At a time dominated by stories of crisis, collapse and disconnection, Wild City is an attempt to break the spell of the doomscroll era, seeking out the hopeful stories already unfolding around us and asking how we might create a wilder, more connected urban future.

Ultimately, it is about reimagining the city, finding belonging and even sacredness in unexpected places, and recognising the potential already growing through the cracks.

Books, limited-edition zines and Wild City T-shirts will be available at the event.
