    Running and Managing a Restructure Process - the right way

    Restructures are naturally unsettling for both employers and employees. Having a sound knowledge of the legal requirements, including procedural requirements of how to undertake a restructure is crucial for employers to ensure that the process is not only legally sound but also as non-disruptive and smooth for everyone. This interactive workshop will guide you through the following:

    • When it is appropriate to undertake a restructure
    • What is the difference between a restructure and a redundancy
    • Your legal obligations when undertaking a restructure process including:
      • the duty of good faith;
      • the duty to consult with employees who may be impacted by the restructure and the extent of information you need to provide to enable genuine consultation; and
      • the duty to consider redeployment opportunities.
    • The key steps required during a restructure process;
    • Some of the key information employees need to be provided with during a restructure process; and
    • Best practice; and
    • Common mistakes to avoid during a restructure process.
