UNDISCLOSED 56.0 w/ Mary Yuzovskaya

Mary Yuzovskaya is making her Sydney / Eora debut with us on Saturday August 17th at an Undisclosed location. On local support is one of our favourite Eora-based hypnotic techno artists, @ritmu. Both Mary Yuzovskaya and Ritmu will be taking us on a 3 hour journey on a big sound system :)

Cerebral, powerful and unique best sum up Berlin-based Mary Yuzovskaya's take on techno.

Despite coming up in the mid-2000s, Mary's route into techno is as rooted in the culture as it gets. While an initial stint in Berlin cemented a reputation for Mary's precise approach to her craft as a vinyl-only DJ who explores the subtleties of techno, it was a move to NYC in 2013 which took her career as an artist to the next level. 

Numerous residencies, not least a three-year run at the influential Unter, helped refine Yuzovskaya's unhurried, storytelling sound whilst developing a dedicated audience on the dance floor and the wider techno scene.   

Away from the decks and studio, her work as vinyl distribution manager at legendary Brooklyn record shop Halcyon provided the perfect stepping-off point for her vinyl-only imprint, Monday Off. A label she neatly describes as 'psychedelic techno', Monday Off has ploughed its furrow since 2017 and has introduced music from some of techno's most forward-thinking and out-of-the-ordinary artists.

Back in Berlin since 2020, Mary's momentum continues with a diary that heavily features standout clubs and events like Berghain, Basement (NY), Gare (Porto), Hall (Tallinn), IFZ (Leipzig), Kablys (Vilnus), Pax Romana (Amsterdam), Rote Sonne (Munich), Smart Bar (Chicago) and Tresor (Berlin) whilst releases on such labels as Attic, Kvalia, Mnestic and Semantica, as well as her own Monday Off, help her reach an ever-growing fanbase.

While trends ebb and flow in techno, Mary Yuzovskaya stands steadfast with her singular voice and vision.

Ritmu's music is characterised by deep, futuristic soundscapes and hypnotic grooves. His 'Dance Tools Project', ‘Naval Tactics’ and ‘DR001’ releases have gained traction among many techno enthusiasts in Eora and beyond. A promising artist on the rise, his sets and productions have garnered him support slots alongside artists like Beau Didier, Julia Govor, Tred, Sebastian Bayne & many more. Earlier this year Ritmu co-founded DU:RA a label celebrating the darker shades of electronica with both experimental and dance floor focussed sounds. We can’t wait for Ritmu’s return to the UD dancefloor!

Further details:

1. The location will be forwarded via email to ticket holders at 8pm on the evening of the event. 

2. This event will be BYO (no glass). 

3. All attendees must be 18+ years of age. Failure to provide valid proof of age on entry will result in denial of entry and forfeit of ticket. 

4. There will be no refunds unless the event is cancelled prior to it commencing.
