Event description
This event is primarily for current UniSA Business & UniSA Creative students undertaking an internship/placement course in SP7 2024 or SP2 2025.

This is the 9th instalment of our award winning face-to-face speed-networking events. This is a formal facilitated speed-networking session designed to maximise your opportunity to connect with relevant industry personnel seeking to host internship/placement opportunities. At registration Industry partners nominate the disciplines they are most interested in speaking with and this is complemented by a "free-for-all" component at the event.Â
Some updates for this edition:
- UniSA Careers:Â Will be in attendance to engage with students and/or industry about the value-add services they provide.
- UniSA Business Society:Â The student-run club will be in attendance to engage with any interested industry partners who would like to learn more about what they are doing to increase opportunities for their members.
There is plenty of information on how to best prepare for the event and in the lead up you will receive more information to ensure you are well prepared. This includes how to develop an effective 30-second pitch that goes well beyond simply asking for a placement. All this is available right now on the dedicated networking event Learnonline site (note - this page is managed by UniSA Business but the content is relevant to UniSA Creative students too).

FAQs
What do I need to prepare? You will have a 30 second 'elevator pitch' outlining what you're studying, what your interests are, and when you are seeking to undertake a placement.
Will I have the opportunity to meet every/any industry partner I want to? Due to the scale of the event this is likely not possible. However, we do try and rotate people as much as possible. These rotations are all formulated prior to the event based on preferences noted by industry partners when registering. This worked well at the last event and will be improved further based on lessons learned and participant feedback.
Will you share the list of Industry Partners prior to the event? Yes, this is located on the Event-specific Learnonline page that UniSA Business maintains, we will include this in pre-event updates in the fortnight preceding the event. We recommend you undertake some research prior to the event to assist you when connecting with the industry partners.
Venue COVID-19 Rules (Will be updated as required)
There are currently no restrictions relating to COVID-19 however we will still be providing plenty of hand sanitiser and you are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you feel more comfortable.
