University House AGM
Event description
The 67th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF UNIVERSITY CLUB INC., ABN 35282274814, will be held via videoconference in accordance with the provisions of the Corporations (Coronavirus Economic Response) Determination (No. 1) 2020, at 12:30pm, Thursday November 5, 2020.
To take part in this event, please ensure you register using the "Get Tickets" button above. Details regarding how to access the meeting will be provided later.
Under Rule 21 of the Constitution (set out on the nomination form on the back of this notice), the election of Office Bearers and General Committee of University House will take place before the 2020 Annual General Meeting. Details of any ballots will be notified later.

In accordance with the Constitution there will be 3 (THREE) general committee vacancies to be filled.
The following Committee Members retiring this year:
Frank Larkins
Paul Taylor
Andrew Mitchell (resigned May 2020)
The retiring Officers and Committee Members are all eligible for re-election.

Nominations in writing for Positions of Officers and for Vacant Positions on the Committee must be received by the General Manager not later than 23 October 2020
Nominations, proposing and seconding may be made using the nomination form or via email to the General Manager: gm@unihouse.org.au. Separate communications will be accepted provided the communications clearly state:

The Proposer,
The Seconder,
The acceptance by the Nominee.
Please note: Members considering nomination as Officers or General Committee of the Club are reminded that under Clause 22, section (f) of the Club Constitution, you will be required to undertake training on the legal duties of not-for-profit directors (provided free of charge by the Club).
Honorary Members, Honorary Life Members, Continuing, Associate, Affiliated and New Staff Members are not qualified:-
(a) to be officers or members of the Committee, or
(b) to vote as Members of the Club, or
(c) to propose and second candidates for membership or office.
