Unlock Motivation In Your Teenager; 7 Tips To Reduce Power Struggles and Increase Positive Action
Event description
It's tough to get through to kids that are shut down or don't seem to care. As parents, we often get frustrated and revert to control tactics like yelling, threats, and bribes. Sometimes this works in the short term but over time it almost always backfires while leaving us exhausted and depleted. This webinar will give you practical tools and ideas that will help unlock your teen's motivation over time.
While I don't promise quick fixes or easy answers, I will offer you realistic strategies that will lead to positive change. This webinar isn't about fixing your teen, because your teen isn't broken. Either are you. This webinar is designed to help your whole family. Your teen is more than welcome to attend. No secrets here.
I’ve been a family therapist working with adolescents for over 20 years. I’m married to a family therapist and we’re raising two kids that are 16 and 13. Are we perfect parents? Part of me wants you to think we are, but I’d be lying. We mess up all the time. But we do our best to learn and adapt as we go. Certain tools and perspectives can be really helpful. We’re all in this together. I hope you can join me on Wednesday, September 3rd at noon!
A recording will be made available for a limited time if you aren't able to attend.
Please forward this to anyone you think may benefit.
Here's an interview I gave on AM Northwest where I talk about how to create more autonomy and motivation in teens.
