๐Ÿš€ Unlock the Power of Engineering with LEGO! ๐Ÿš€

Is your child curious about forces, motion, and how things are built to last? Join us for an exciting 8 sessionย course designed specifically for Year 5 & 6 homeschoolers, where students will explore simple engineering principles through the fun and creativity of LEGO! For 90 minutes each session, your child will engage in hands-on challenges, build dynamic structures, and discover the mathematical concepts behind them, all while developing essential problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Course Highlights:

  • Curriculum Focus: Each week will focus on an engineering principle and simple machine that demonstrates its uses. These include levers, gears, pulleys and more.
  • Hands-On Learning: Build and test LEGO models that demonstrate these simple machines and the engineering uses and application behind them.
  • Real-World Application: Participate in engineering problem solving projects and challenges by implementing that weekโ€™s simple machine into your own design.

What your child will learn:

In this course, your child will explore fundamental engineering principles through hands-on activities with LEGO. Geared toward Grade 5 and 6 students, this dynamic program is designed to captivate young minds while teaching them the fundamental principles of simple machines. Each session, students will dive into hands-on projects, constructing fascinating mechanisms. Sessions during Term 2 will focus on Levers and Pulleys, and sessions during Term 3 will focus on Gears and Motion. Through engaging, interactive lessons, they'll experience the beginning fundamentals of engineering and simple machine mechanisms.

Enrolling in this course means students won't just be stuck discussing theoryโ€”they will see these concepts come to life right before their eyes. Each project is crafted to challenge and inspire, fostering problem-solving skills, creativity, and a love for engineering.ย
